I Changed One Thing & Had The Best Sales Day, Ever.

Hey, there internet friends! Long time, no chat! Thanks for continuing to read and learn through my experiences! As of late, the sales have been flowing and the packages have been going! Listen in today on how I made only one small change in my activity as a reseller to open up the flood gates for my best sales day yet!

You Reap What You Sow

Ever heard this saying? Essentially, it’s saying that if you put in the effort, the efforts will pay off. Sure, it’s not ideal to get up before the birds and go to bed when it’s still light outside, but these things along with a few other strong (slowly developed), habits have changed my life for the better as a reseller.

I’m always finding new pockets of time in the early morning or late evening to fit any photographing, listing, or shipping into my schedule. These pockets help me stay organized and keep consistency in my store every day of the week. (Yes, unfortunately even on Sundays!)

I’ve tried a plethora of things over the years to find new ways to encourage more sales in my stores, be it coupon codes, email discounts, paper coupons with purchases, you name it. The beautiful thing is, that more sales can be accomplished in one simple way without all this other muss and fuss. Let me tell you about it.

The More You List, The More You Sell…Right?

You’ve heard it a thousand times before. The more you list, the more you sell. ESPECIALLY when it comes to eBay. While I stick to believing this is true, we all only have so much time in a day and aren’t all looking to hire another helping hand (given that most of our businesses are held in our home office).

In this case, finding another way to increase my sales was the only option. I don’t want to hire someone, and I don’t have any extra time that I can add to dedicating to this portion of my life. So, I tried something new.

What was this new thing I tried?

Shipping. Yes, really. That is, shipping IMMEDIATELY.

Of course, this isn’t always ideal with our situations throughout the day, with full-time jobs, kids, sports and activities, etc. HOWEVER, I highly highly HIGHLY recommend you give it a try, (at least as often as you’re able), especially if you’ll be home all day on a Saturday or Sunday.

How Does Shipping Help Sales?

We all probably know by now that these platforms all have their own algorithms. These algorithms work hard in finding new customers to go to your stores if you are Top Rated and have a backlog of amazing reviews.

If you ship on time, follow the rules and are kind to your customers, you’ll usually be rewarded with a higher push in the algorithm. After all, the more you sell successfully, the higher not only your profits go, but the higher the profits of the platform go as well. (Thanks a lot fees!)

How does this help then you may still be wondering?

Simple. Ship fast, and you please the algorithm once again.

If you’re taking all day or even overnight to ship your items, the algorithm is going to notice that. Same goes for responding to offers, answering messages, and refunding for any returns that you’ve been avoiding.

The quicker you can get this work accomplished, the quicker you’ll start seeing additional sales roll in. It’s really as simple as that.
