How to Increase Reselling Revenue Without Spending

Have you been wondering how to increase your revenue without diving deeper into your already dug-out reseller pockets? Want to spend less on inventory and more time on selling what you already have in stock? Well! Guess what, I’ve got a tip for you and I think you’re really going to like it. Let’s jump right in and learn how to increase reselling revenue without spending!

To Save Money, Use What You’ve Got

Recently, I’ve been investing in some majorly awesome bulk buys from my good friends over at JOMAR. Check them out in this post if you missed it!

However, now that January is here and tax season has rolled over to a new year, I’m doing my best to use what I’ve got and spend less by coming up with ideas that will save me those dolla dolla bills in the long run.

If you’ve not thought of this already, (I know I sure hadn’t!), it’s going to sound pretty silly. Here it goes…use your stale inventory!!

Guys, why keep buying more stock if you’re running out of space? Just use those old items and repurpose them into new, beautiful additions to your store.  Increasing your reselling revenue and saving on expenses can both be achieved by employing this strategy.

The space thing is still and probably always will be an issue for me. I’ve come to accept this! But I’ve finally got a good system going on with my new shelving units and boxes, and I don’t want things to be overflowing anymore.

Re-Photo Old Items Instead of Spending Pennies On New Inventory

Of course, like anything with being a reseller, this too is time-consuming. However, it is refreshing my items, while saving pennies on new purchases.

I’d like to reinvest in more bulk buys once I’ve cleaned up my store, but until then, anything that’s over 6 months old is getting rephotographed and refreshed!

There are ways to check on the date your item was created, so feel free to do so that way if you so choose. For me though, I started implementing a new background a few months ago and decided that anything past that point is worth being replaced.

This way, once everything is finished and revitalized, my store will look consistent, crisp and clean again.

To Increase Reselling Revenue Look at Your Keywords

Also, as we move further along in our reselling journeys, we often learn a lot of new information to improve our listings, capture better photos, or what keywords work best for each item.

Since all of the things mentioned above help to improve the search results and sell-through ability of your item, this will ensure that your items will sell quicker, with less questions, and most likely for more profit. Win, win if you ask me!
