A New Post, and The Continuation of a New Fun Journey!
Hey there everyone! I just wanted to start off by thanking you all for returning to read my posts, and for being so supportive thus far. I genuinely and whole heartedly appreciate it and can’t thank you enough. So! To actually thank you, I thought I could do a little giving back in a new weekly post for you guys!
I’ve gone back and forth as to if I wanted to make a new post weekly of My top 10 unique sales, or My top 10 favorite sales, etc. But, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best and most helpful posts would probably be consisting of My Top 10 BEST Sales!
Suggestions or Comments!?
Today will be week number 17 of this new little blogging series, and I’ve love to hear about how you like it in the comments below! Let me know what your favorite or best sales were of the week, or if you have any suggestions to improve upon this and future posts.
I hope this provides some useful information for you all, and that you can take something away from it each and every week. I will be providing the item that sold, the platform that it sold on, the date sold, and the price that it sold for. Also, I will be letting you know if these items were sold by sending an offer, receiving an offer, or if they sold for full price. These will be listed from highest to lowest in sold price, from numbers 10 to 1.
Updates!
*Tip about “Hard Goods”: Make sure when you are finding hard goods however, that they are not too big, bulky, lengthy, or heavy. Of course UPS and FedEx offer better rates sometimes when it comes to these categories, but a lot of times you’ll still end up paying nearly $20-$30 in shipping, and that’s no fun. So just keep this in mind whenever you’re sourcing, and make sure those items will leave you enough room for a good profit margin. These items also take much longer to package, ship, and often take up more room in your inventory storage.

Kidizen Update: I have come to the conclusion that I had to let Kidizen go. Check out this post to read all about why I made the decision!

Week of 3/27-4/2
*Side Note: Since I’ve mentioned before that I’ve now updated my shipping to be a flat $4.00 across my entire eBay store, I’m just going to go ahead and include that in the total number mentioned below.
Also, I wanted to start including a few notes underneath certain items, so that you have a better idea of perhaps why I picked the item to begin with, and how the sale went for me. I hope this is helpful! Please let me know in the comments below if you have any other suggestions or questions! Thanks for reading!

- Item: Vintage Moma Ceramiche Antigianali Lavorate a Mano Fruits Print Serving Bowl
- How was it Sold: Offer Received
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 4/1
- Sold Price: $34.00
*This was actually in my personal collection, and I had decided to let it go. I’m glad that I did! This just goes to show you that decluttering on a regular basis can be a win, win for everyone!
- Item: Vintage G-III Womens Black Leather Fringe Shoulder Pads Biker Jacket 80s Small
- How was it Sold: Offer Sent
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 3/27
- Sold Price: $33.99
*Okay, here’s a little (kind of long) fact about me. I practically lived in the 80s in high school. My dad lent me all the old VHS tapes of MTV music video reruns to watch, and I quite literally became obsessed. This here magnificent jacket was peeking out from a rack across the thrift store at me. I’m pretty sure I galloped or ran or something weird like that over to it. Let me tell you, the hubs shook his head, but I’d have totally kept this if it fit me. It sold within days, I knew someone else out there would love it just as much as I did! This is one of my favorite parts about being a reseller.
- Item: Vintage Lauren Ralph Lauren Womens Multicolor Floral Silk Midi Dress Size 2
- How was it Sold: Purchased at Full Price
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 3/29

- Item: Sergio Valente Womens Blue Cotton Stretch Raw Hem High Rise Straight Jeans Sz 30
- How was it Sold: Purchased at Full Price
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 3/31
- Sold Price: $32.49
*These jeans were another one of my first time pick ups. They only took a few weeks to sell, so I’m grateful that I grabbed them! They stood out amongst the others, because they were good quality, well made, and this is something that makes me look more into a brand or do a comp on eBay in the store. Keep an eye out for, well, things that catch your eye!
- Item: Bundle of Stuart Weitzman heels and NEW Queen keychain
- How was it Sold: Offers Received
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 3/29
- Sold Price: $35.99
*I’ve only picked up a few Stuart heels in my time, but normally they’ve just sat and sat. These were in excellent condition however, and I figured I’d take a chance on them. This bundle sold within a few weeks of sourcing the heels. Yay!
- Item: Salvatore Ferragamo Womens Brown Suede Lace Up Heeled Ankle Boots Size US 8.5

- How was it Sold: Purchased at Full Price
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 4/1
- Sold Price: $31.54
*College hoodies, particularly with embroidered letters, are something I also hunt for. I never realized at first, that they would be something that sells, but every one I pick up, usually goes at least within a month or two. Make sure they are in good condition, and you’re good to go!
- Item: Cabelas Mens Brown Waterproof Thinsulate Steel Shank Slip On Duck Boots US 9
- How was it Sold: Offer Sent
- Platform: eBay
- Date Sold: 3/30
- Sold Price: $29.00
Summary
Ebay and I, we’re definitely getting along these days. My profit margins keep slowly increasing on average across the board. However, I usually make many more sales that are less than that, (which was definitely the case with Poshmark this week…yet again).
Subscribe to be notified of a future post that will talk about why I will be revamping my ENTIRE Poshmark closet! But, these small, but regular sales, is what helps keep my stores afloat, and I really love having a variety of price points available for all kinds of different buyers across the platforms.
I’ve been slowly doing less and less crosslisting onto other platforms. This may not be for you, but for my own business, it seems to be working out best for me this way nowadays. I may eventually go back to crosslisting more often, but for now, I am just focusing on growing my eBay store to its full potential, since it’s the one bringing home the bacon.
*Note: I also have changed over my eBay store to charging a flat fee across the board of $4.00 shipping. Although it leaves a little more leeway to open the door for lower offers that come in, it doesn’t seem to have affected my store traffic at all. This is only a week or so into making this change however, so I will be sure to keep you guys updated! *Update as of 3/26, Still going strong!
Many times, I make sales by sending out offers. I do this on every platform whenever possible. I truly believe that without this option being available, I would be making much less sales per day.
Because of this, I highly recommend you send offers when you can! (And make sure your counter offers option is turned on!) Be proactive and treat every chance to make an offer as a potential sale. Everyone loves a good deal!
Stay Active!
Now and then, I will make a larger sale, such as a Gucci purse that I sold a few weeks prior. I have a few higher end, higher priced items available, but these do not sell nearly as often as the more affordable items. (I prefer if possible, to sell my luxury items on Poshmark, since they have a free authentication service for anything over $500, this is a nice tip to keep in mind).
That is why I like to keep a plethora of different kinds of items, targeted at different kinds of customers, so that I am consistently making sales at all different sorts of price points.
eBay has really been pulling through for me lately, but I’ve been “feeding the beast” and listing like crazy, so this makes sense and I am over the moon to see that it has been working out. (Especially with jean sales! Quite space hoggers jeans are, but they’re turning quickly for me so I can’t complain! Keep an keen eye while you’re out in the wild to grab up a pair for yourself!)
It has definitely been my top selling platform as of late…sorry Posh. Depop, Etsy, Mercari on the other hand, have been up and down, but when you don’t put as much effort into a platform, it definitely shows.
Just remember that the more active you stay and the more listings you consistently put up, the more sales you have the potential to make. Let’s flip all the things!
Thank You!
A giant thanks to everyone that has supported me this far into my journey! I greatly appreciate you returning to read my posts hope that you will continue to drop by in the future.
