3 Things I’ve Learned This Week Working From Home

Working from Home? Here’s a few things I’ve learned so far:

Hey friends! So if you were here to read my recent posts, you’ll know that I’ve been considering a new post series for the weekly Thursday slot. I mentioned that I felt this was a good time do a little switcheroo since that post marked about 7 months since starting the Top 10 Weekly Sales! Holy cow it’s gone by quickly!! Check the most recent one out below if you’re interested in learning what they were!

However! I’ve had a few people mention that the Top Ten Sales has really helped them to see what’s selling, so I’ve decided to continue on with that series as well as this new one. The Top Ten Sales posts will be on Saturdays, since this new series is taking the Thursday slot. Thank you for your patience as I adjust things!

So, we have begun a new mini series. These posts will focus on the 3 most important things that I’ve learned as a reseller, (that also works from home as a blogger), and why I value them. I will also explain how I plan to implement them into my everyday full-time reselling business, and how I feel they’ll benefit my brand. I hope you enjoy this new series!

Please feel free to drop any comments or suggestions below in the comment box, so that we can discuss and share similar topics of interest! Thanks for reading!

Outsource What You Can

If you’re like me, and I’m willing to bet that most solopreneurs or entrepreneurs are…you think you can tackle the world! All by yourself of course. This may be the case starting out, but after awhile, you may need to call in some backup.

This means one big, long word comes into play. Outsourcing.

Outsourcing can be extremely beneficial to you and your business, both IRL and virtually. There has never been a more convenient time than now to access assistants all over the world ready to begin work for you today. Ahh, the sweet life of 2021 and technology.

Yes, some of you may be thinking that technology isn’t always all good, and I couldn’t agree more. I do my best to stay off of social media platforms if possible, (as you may know if you’ve been with me for awhile!), as I feel they can bombard you with unnecessary mumbo jumbo and clutter your mind.

However, outsourcing is still something I partake in on a daily basis. It can change your whole game and lead you to running a successful business, if you do your research and invest your dollars in the right services.

  • Pro Tip: Don’t just assume outsourcing has everything to do with business! There are plenty of ways that you can outsource regular tasks as well, which I will mention in the sections below.

Here are a few VA services that I would like to give mention to:

  • Hammoq (My current VA service for eBay listing!) I couldn’t have grown my business to what it is now without them. Be sure to put them on your list to look into.
  • Christinezcloset (The best Poshmark Sharing Assistant I’ve ever used!) She is personal, friendly, and attentive. Check out her services!

(And a secret one that I’ll mention again later on!) Stay tuned for a post in the future to hear about my experience with the newest service I enjoy using to help build my business).

Make Time For You

You time is key time. And don’t forget it! I know I’ve mentioned this a bunch before, but it still rings true. It’s something I try to remind myself about every single day, as it is so often easily forgotten. Just taking a morning stroll to hear the birds chirping or soaking up some sunshine in the afternoon can really boost your mood and get you back to work better than before.

A lot of times with working from home, regular tasks come up, meetings are scheduled, and groceries need to be shopped for. Not to mention laundry, dishes, meal prepping, physical fitness, and some good old SSR. (sustained silent reading!) Who remembers this one from school? Drop some comments below if you know what I’m talking about!

We all have a tendency to get tangled up in these tasks and forget to take that hot bubble bath or enjoy a nice glass of wine in the evening with some homemade pasta. Yum. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

If you’re looking for another way to make your life a little easier, I’d highly recommend checking out Thrive Market (Get 25% off your first order through my link!) or HelloFresh. (Fellow mompreneurs and busy bees…HelloFresh is giving $100 off when you sign up today!) Take a step into the world of less stress and spend more time on what matters.

I very much enjoy having them both delivered to my doorstep, and am comfortable in the fact that I know these meals are sourced sustainably and are good for me, too. I started with both services when I began working from home, and by using these delivery services, (also something that you can outsource!), has made my day less stressful, with less decisions to make.

Keep Up With Your Everyday Chores

Obvious? Maybe. Do we always do them? Not so much. I say chores, well, because that’s what they are! Big or small, young or old, chores are chores…and unfortunately we’re always going to be stuck with them.

Although, by keeping up with things around your home on a regular basis, daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly, you’re able to get a lot more done when you finally do sit down and put pen to paper…or fingers to keys in my sense!

Think about it. When’s the last time you really felt like working whenever you’re stuck in a messy environment? Not so comfy, is it? Of course, you can work; however, you probably won’t feel like it with all that “stuff” staring back at you.

I’ve really embraced the whole millennial minimalist mindset the last few years. Oof…try saying that five times fast! And because of this, my home is less full, less messy, and more relaxing. I would definitely recommend checking out these YouTube channels if you’re interested in being inspired into doing the same.

P.S. Don’t forget to think about household tasks you can outsource! These include but aren’t limited to:

  • Laundry
  • Lawncare
  • Landscaping
  • Dog Walking
  • Cleaning Services
  • Window/Gutter Cleaning
  • Grocery Delivery

You can find these services through apps like TaskRabbit or Thumbtack.

The list can be as long as you want! Just be sure that you’re doing what you can, but also taking time for working on yourself and your business. Leave the rest to the pros!
