Working from Home? Here’s a few things I’ve learned so far:
Hey friends! So lately, I’ve been considering a new post series for the weekly Thursday slot. I felt this was a good time to do a little switcheroo, being that this post will mark about 6 months since starting the Top 10 Weekly Sales! Holy cow it’s gone by quickly!! Check the most recent one out below if you’re interested in learning what they were!

Today, we will begin a new mini-series. These posts will focus on the 3 most important things that I’ve learned while working from home, and why I value them. I will also explain how I plan to implement them into my everyday full-time reselling business, and how I feel they’ll benefit my brand.
I hope you enjoy this new series! Please feel free to drop any comments or suggestions below in the comment box, so that we can discuss and share similar topics of interest! Thanks for reading!
Life Isn’t Always a Box of Chocolates
Sometimes, you gotta take the good with the bad. This is the case for me this week. (And last!) Although I’ve been increasing my listings the last few days, that summer slow down is still taking its toll on the old eBay deposits. Ouch.
*Stay tuned for next Monday’s post! We will cover why you may not be excited to list anymore.
I just remember to keep myself accountable, (and suggest you do the same!) by continuing my listing and daily schedule, and not skipping a beat. This is where a lot of folks may slow up for a bit, and stop listing or sourcing as much. Unfortunately, doing so won’t be very helpful in this situation.
My plan is to stay on top of questions, offers, and shipping times, and to keep on keeping on. Listing consistently and staying active on the app will not only let eBay know you are seriously in it to win it, but also that you’re proactive and ready to make those sales.
Is Fake It Til You Make It Even a Real Thing?
I’m adding this in today because I feel like I’ve had to suck it up and put my big girl pants on at times. Being an entrepreneur is hard, endless work. There’s no boss telling you where to go, what to do, or how to do it.
Reaching out to new contacts, putting yourself out there, and making new acquaintances can be intimidating, to say the least. However, it takes guts and determination to be successful, and that’s exactly what I plan to do.
I feel like I’ve definitely embraced this feeling a handful of times in my reselling career, but what I’ve come to learn is that mostly, it’s all about confidence. Feeling confident about yourself, your business, and your work ethic, can really move you forward.
Just remember to stay true to you and not come off as arrogant or intrusive. People will appreciate your honesty and will be willing to work with you, even if you’re just starting out.
The Travel Bug Doesn’t Want to Leave!
No seriously. Clearly, travel hasn’t been a big part of ours (or most anyone’s) lives the past year, give or take. This really got me down at first, but after a while I kind of got used to it. It wasn’t a big deal, and I was all down for those savings.
But since my husband and I got home from our most recent getaway, it’s been really pulling me back. It was blissful, perfect, and exactly what we needed after 2 extremely long, work enduring, hoarded in our home kind of years.
As I get older, I’m starting to realize the fact that time really does fly by, and I try my best not to take this time for granted. That’s why I made sure I worked extra hard up until we left to get extra listings scheduled so that I could ensure my eBay store stayed afloat while we were gone. Read more about how I did just that in the post below.

I sincerely look forward to future vacations and time with my husband before we have kids. Traveling is something I truly feel deeply about, and I’m hopeful that someday my business can succeed from faraway places as well.
This excited me and I hope that you’ll stay with me on this journey to learn about all my ups and downs. My goal when I started this blog was to share my achievements along with my failures so that I am able to relay to others in my shoes that if they’re able to push past the hard parts, entrepreneurship is something that can definitely lead you to success.
Thank You!
