Working from Home? Here’s a few things I’ve learned so far:
Hey friends! So if you were here to read last week’s post, you’ll know that I’ve been considering a new post series for the weekly Thursday slot. I mentioned that I felt this was a good time to do a little switcheroo, being that postmarked about 6 months since starting the Top 10 Weekly Sales! Holy cow it’s gone by quickly!! Check the most recent one out below if you’re interested in learning what they were!

However! I’ve had a few people mention that the Top Ten Sales has really helped them to see what’s selling, so I’ve decided to continue on with that series as well as this new one. The Top Ten Sales posts will be on Saturdays since this new series is taking the Thursday slot. Thank you for your patience as I adjust things!
Last Thursday, we began a new mini-series. These posts will focus on the 3 most important things that I’ve learned as a reseller, (that also works from home as a blogger), and why I value them. I will also explain how I plan to implement them into my everyday full-time reselling business, and how I feel they’ll benefit my brand.
I hope you enjoy this new series! Please feel free to drop any comments or suggestions below in the comment box, so that we can discuss and share similar topics of interest! Thanks for reading!
Stay Active
I’m talking here about activity. Staying active in your stores, eBay, or whichever platform you prefer, will help you in their algorithm to keep your listings fresh and welcoming to potential buyers. This, I’m assuming, is definitely something that you want!
If you’re scrolling Facebook or Insta in the checkout line at the grocery store or waiting for your kids in the pickup line, switch to working on something for your brand, and make the best use of your time. If you also like to purchase things on the web, for your home or business, you could always use eBay instead of another place, as this will count in providing more activity to the platform!
Don’t forget to check out your quarterly benefits as well! If you sell on eBay and have a store subscription, you will receive quarterly (every 3 months) credits to use towards shipping or packing supplies. These do expire, so be sure to use them before they vanish! You can simply go to their shipping supplies section, add what you’d like, and checkout.
Once you’re on the checkout page, they should automatically be applied if you have any to use. If this doesn’t work, you can find this page by clicking on the “Overview” tab in your Seller Hub. Scroll down to the box that is titled “Selling Tools,” and click on “Manage Store.” From there, you can click on “Subscriber Discounts” on the left, and go to “See Details” under “eBay Shipping Supplies.”

Stay Fit
This is crucial when you’re a reseller. I mean literally because my goodness some of those bags and boxes can be hella heavy. When I have to lift large contractor-sized black garbage bags stuffed to the brim FULL of clothing/shoes/etc., it can be pretty challenging!
However, by waiting around, you’ll waste more valuable, precious time that you could be spending focusing on other aspects of your business. I like to multi-task if at all possible, so I use every time frame available (big or small), for improving myself or my brand. Take care of yourself and by doing so, you’ll be able to take better care of your business!
Stay Healthy
Staying healthy goes right up there with staying fit. Check out the post below for a more in-depth explanation when you’re done with this post, to see how I do just that.
I like to get up early, eat a decent breakfast or smoothie, hit the gym, and do some meditation (outside preferably)! This may seem a bit cliché, yes, but it works for me and chances are it may work for you, too!
If you’re willing to give it a go, check out Headspace for a really nice Meditation app that is good for all stages of learning. Try to listen to an audiobook on Audible, or read for just 10 minutes per day. And don’t be afraid to take a nap if you feel your body really needs it!
Side Note: Speaking of Audible, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook by Darren Hardy, “The Compound Effect.” I’m currently enjoying it now, and it’s really been helping me to see that adding simple changes to your life just a little at a time, can seriously add up. If you decide to check it out, or maybe have already read it, let me know what you think in the comment section below!
Simply put, to perform your best, you’re going to want to feel your best. Take care of your mind and body and reap the benefits by doing so. You’ll have more energy, motivation, and determination to keep up with your tasks and implement new and improved schedules in your life. Starting a business has greatly increased my abilities and time management skills, and I’m hopeful that by sharing what works best for me, will help you work at your best as well.
Thank You!
A giant thanks to everyone that has supported me this far into my journey! I greatly appreciate you returning to read my posts hope that you will continue to drop by in the future.
