We went digging for the same items (and when we couldn’t find an exact match, we grabbed the closest thing) to see how prices compare now. Are things selling for more? Less? Let’s just say the results might surprise you.
When I first pulled that 2021 list together, it was just a snapshot of what was moving well at the time. Looking back now, it feels like a mini time capsule for the resale market. Some prices have climbed, some have dipped, and a few stayed right in the same ballpark. To keep things fair, we lined up today’s comps as closely as possible so you can see the difference side by side — original sale price vs. what you could expect if you sold that item now.

Week of 8/14-8/20/21 ebay Sales Compared To 2025 Prices
- Item: Vintage 90s Dodger Unisex Black Gold Pittsburgh Penguins Pullover Sweatshirt XL
- How was it Sold: Purchased at Full Price

In 2021, this Penguins pullover sold strong at nearly $70. Looking at today’s comps, though, similar pieces are sitting closer to $49. That’s almost a $20 dip, showing how some team gear cools off with time and shifts in demand.
