๐ŸŒฟ Rooted Drawers Weekly Top 10 Sales September Week 2

ebay Sales Week of September 4, 2025 โ€“ September 10, 2025

This week leaned into clearance deals and seasonal movement which included things like hoodies, jackets, and even a hiking pack heading out the door. Discounts and BOGO offers are still doing their job moving older inventory, even if margins run slim at times. Iโ€™ll share both the buyerโ€™s order total (what they paid with shipping, tax, etc.) and my earnings after fees, labels, and promoted listing costs.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Quick definitions for anyone new here:

  • Item subtotal = sum of the item prices.

  • Order total = what buyers actually paid, including shipping, taxes, and fees.

Iโ€™m running a 60% off summer clearance event with a flat $12 shipping promo on 3+ items, plus 10% coupons layered in for extra incentive. Promoted listings are still steady at 2%.

Now letโ€™s get into this weekโ€™s Top 10 ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ† Top 10 Sales

1. Gingham Shirt Factory Ben Sherman Colorful Button Down Long Sleeve Mens L (10% coupon)

Buyer Paid (Order Total): $10.23
Earnings After Fees/Shipping: $2.42

Notes: A clearance steal for the buyer. With VAT and shipping, margins were tiny, but the goal is clearing space and keeping items moving.

2. 3-Item Clothing Lot (BOGO + $12 flat shipping)

Buyer Paid: $21.55
Earnings: $6.83

Notes: Bundles are still doing their job in moving lower-value pieces. After fees and ad costs, not huge profit, but three items gone in one shot is worth it. (One of the 3 items shown below).

3. Carhartt Distressed Hoodie Black/Gray Zip Sweatshirt Mens L (10% coupon)

Buyer Paid: $21.19
Earnings: $9.32

Notes: Carhartt always pulls attention. Even discounted and distressed, it made a solid sale as fall hoodie season ramps up. ๐Ÿ’ช

4. Franco Sarto Flex Loafers Black Leather Slip-On (Resold After Return)

Buyer Paid: $19.85
Earnings: $4.56

Notes: These sold once before the store revamp, were returned, and sold again. Shoes can be hit or miss, but still happy to see them finally out the door. Woop woop! ๐Ÿ™Œ

5. Vintage 70s Pink Pleated Chiffon Dress Ms. Classic 14

Buyer Paid: $19.49
Earnings: $10.44

Notes: Vintage formal dresses remain a niche but loyal category. Fun, unique styles like this beautiful piece below still manage to always find the right home!

6. Lapogee Boho Maxi Dress Neutral Brown Sleeveless (Promoted)

Buyer Paid: $18.99
Earnings: $7.18

Notes: An absolutely beautiful piece, honestly wish it fit me! Promoted listings pushed it forward, and boho maxi dresses always have demand, especially in the neutral colors.

7. New Starter Cleats Black & White Fielder Mid (10% off sale)

Buyer Paid: $18.83
Earnings: $9.39

Notes: Athletic gear is another steady mover. Back-to-school and fall sports season made these a timely sale. Boo yah! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

8. Coleman Hiking Backpack Gray/Red Lightweight Daypack (Promoted)

Buyer Paid: $18.01
Earnings: $7.41

Notes: The irony isnโ€™t lost here, selling a hiking pack right as weโ€™re prepping for Mt. Whitney this weekend! Iโ€™ll be sharing more about that on the Habitual Balance blog ๐Ÿ”๏ธ. Check it out when you have time!

9. Hollister Gray Hoodie Sweatshirt Mens M (10% coupon)

Buyer Paid: $17.74
Earnings: $5.07

Notes: Another hoodie moving at the right time of year. Not a huge flip, but perfect example of clearance promos doing their job. I’ll take it! ๐Ÿฅณ

10. Hollister Super Skinny Jeans Menโ€™s 30×32 (Promoted + 10% off)

Buyer Paid: $16.50
Earnings: $3.78

Notes: Jeans are bread-and-butter flips, even with slim margins. Promoted listings and coupons helped this one cross the finish line. ๐Ÿ

โœจ Final Thoughts

This weekโ€™s Top 10 sales brought in:

  • $181.64 in total buyer spend (order totals)

  • $66.40 in earnings (after fees, labels, and ads)

The wins here arenโ€™t huge individually, but thatโ€™s the point, clearance + promos keep stale inventory moving. With fall around the corner, hoodies, jackets, and backpacks are already picking up momentum. Fall is also my happy place. It’s vibing outside, doesn’t make me feel bad for inside, it’s just the best.

Top 10 recaps drop every Thursday.๐Ÿค™
